About the Production Team
Our Production Control and Office Team are the backbone of our factory’s daily operations. They monitor every stage of production to ensure schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and everything runs smoothly. From managing staff rotas and shift patterns to maintaining real-time data and production reports, they keep communication flowing between departments and provide fast, effective solutions to keep things on track.

What does your role involve?
We’re involved with the day to day planning of work across all of the business. This could be ganging Litho plates or planning Large format runs for example. Cost effectiveness is key to our role and not just with maximising profit but time too, we liaise with sales and management to decide whether to push jobs through to dispatch or let them know if there’s any issues so they can feed back to the customers. As a department we are the first point of contact for both production and sales. On top of this we also have our own individual projects we are currently running.
What’s the best bit about your job?
I think the best part of my job is the variety of the day, one minute we could be making plates for printing presses or routing work and the next you’re thrown into a problem that needs to be resolved or a project that’s just started. No two days are the same and as a department we work with everyone in the business to maximise productivity, OTD and flow.
Why do you enjoy working for Bluetree Group?
Progression is a big part of it. I originally started in dispatch before going into lamination and then moving into Prepress/ Production Control. I’ve grown a lot over the 11 years I have been here and Bluetree has helped me overcome many obstacles. There’s always an opportunity to speak regarding ideas and problem solving and ideas are taken on board.
