What does your role involve?
I head up the Marketing team for the instantprint brand of Bluetree Group. In a nutshell, it’s our job to entice people to buy from instantprint, and keep them coming back! We cover both digital and offline marketing – from PR, SEO and social media campaigns to deciding what products we think customers will want to buy; everything we do is focused on showing small business owners (our main customers) why instantprint should be their print partner. My team of graphic designers and marketing executives create all the marketing materials that are sent out to customers, either via email or in the post.
What’s the best bit about your job?
The team is amazing. We’re an enthusiastic and driven group of people that love what we do. I’ve never worked with a team that’s so passionate and it’s great to see everyone working towards the same goal.
Why do you enjoy working for Bluetree Group?
No two days are the same and we are constantly looking for new, exciting challenges to take on. In a business that’s growing as fast as Bluetree, you are encouraged to think of new ideas that the team hasn’t tried before, so you are constantly learning new skills. I started Bluetree as an Marketing Executive over 4 years ago, and now I’ve worked up to leading a team and becoming a Marketing Manager. As long as you have the right attitude and determination to learn, Bluetree believes anything can be taught and they truly invest in their staff.
What does your role involve?
I head up the marketing department at Route 1 Print, Bluetree’s trade print arm. I manage a small but mighty team of three, and together we cover everything from loyalty schemes and direct mail to open days and customer engagement- both online and offline. We keep the website sharp and up to date, produce product catalogues, and create downloadable resources to make our customers’ lives easier.
We also play a big role in attracting new customers, whether through trade press, exhibitions, or marketing campaigns that (hopefully) don’t end up in the recycling bin… though we know some do!
What’s the best bit about your job?
No two days are ever the same. One day we’re deep in email flows and conversion rates; the next I’m contacting Sir Mix-a-Lot’s agent to see if we can use his lyrics in a magazine ad promoting the message “we like big books.” That probably gives you an idea of how varied the job really is!
Why do you enjoy working for Bluetree Group?
The pace and ambition. One of our values is think big, move fast, which probably explains why my to-do list is never-ending (but in a good way). There’s always something exciting happening, whether it’s launching new products, promoting our latest tech investments, or jumping into high-impact campaigns. Plus, the people here aren’t too bad to work with either!
What does your role involve?
I head up the eCommerce team for the instantprint brand of Bluetree Group. In a nutshell, it’s our job to make the instantprint website as easy as possible for users to buy and make it the most enjoyable experience for them. My team decides what products we think customers will want to buy, all of the copy on the website, photography and UX/UI design. Everything we do is focussed on showing small business owners (our main customers) why instantprint should be their print partner. We also research new technologies we can implement on the website to make it as easy as possible for customers to order print.
What’s the best bit about your job?
I know it is cliché but I work on that many different things no two days are ever the same. It’s also so rewarding seeing all of the hard work that goes into a project paying off. I love it when we release a new feature onto the website and we can track the results of how customers are responding to the change.
Why do you enjoy working for Bluetree Group?
Bluetree is really fast-paced and there is always something going on, something you can get involved in or something you can support. But because it is so fast-paced and busy there is loads of support. Our MD, Adam, talks about us ‘defining the future of print’ and Bluetree makes you feel like you are one big team striving towards this goal.
